Vernon Young Jr. is a Military Photojournalism student at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Young enjoys documentary photography about unfamiliar people within local communities. He approaches every photo assignment with an open mind allowing him to connect with each subject immediately.

Upon completion of the Newhouse military photojournalism course, Young plans to continue his career as a dedicated combat camera photographer.

Young’s photographs have been published in a number of military and civilian newspapers.
